Syracuse completes the double-header sweep of the SWB Yankees with a 7 - 3 victory.

Syracuse takes the first game of the double-header 8 - 6.

Syracuse beats Scranton 3 - 2.

Louisville takes down Scranton 7 - 5.

The SWB Yankees defeated Louisville 4 - 1.

Dave Robertson closed it out for SWB and completes the doubleheader sweep of Charlotte with a 3-0 win in the nightcap.

1 run was all they needed to break both the scoreless streak and the losing streak. Kontos went 5.1and struck out 6. Melancon got the save in 1.2 innings of relief in a shortened 7 inning game.

SWB Yankees were shut out for the fourth game in a row by the Charlotte Knights 2-0. It was also their 5th straight loss. They have not scored for a franchise record 44.1 innings.

Wang looked good tonight, his best pitches were his slider & changeup. He hit low 90’s tonight so Cash should be encouraged. This is SWB’s 4th consecutive loss. This is SWB’s 3rd consecutive shutout loss, a franchise first. They have not scored in 35 1/3 innings.

SWB 11, Norfolk 7.

Shelley Duncan had his 12th multi-hit game tonight Todd Linden extended his historic hitting streak to 16 games with a single in the 9th. Scranton loses 14 - 7.

A great backhanded, sliding catch by Shelley Duncan was the dramatic 3rd out in the 9th, and SWB goes to 17-3 for the season.

Alfredo Aceves was just great tonight throwing 8 full innings of shutout baseball. SWB wins, 7-0.

It’s all over here at PNC Field and the SWB Yankees lost their 3rd game (2nd at home) and are now 15-3. It is the first time they have been shut out this season. In fact, SWB has not been shut out in 70 games!

SWB wins 6-1. Melancon pitched 1 2/3, struck out 2, and allowed 2 hits. Hughes is now 3-0 with a 1.86 ERA!

The streak is over, I’m wet and cold, SWB loses 7-3

Tonight's game between the SWB Yankees and the Rochester Red Wings has been postponed and will be made up on June 29 as part of a double header. It is a cold, windy, and rainy (snowy at my house) day here in Scranton. It was to be a battle of the coasts with California native Ian Kennedy vs, New Jersey native Kevin Mulvey for Rochester. I will assume for now that will remain the matchup for tomorrow's game. I will see you then.

Kei Igawa pitches well to lead Scranton over Rochester 6 - 2.

The SWB Yanks won tonight 11-0 to boost their record to a franchise history 9-0. They have never started better than 4-0 in 21 years.
