Cy Igawa vs. Justin Lehr

Posted on 29 May 2009 by Zod It has turned into a beautiful night here after a cloudy, showery day in the Scranton area. Tonight, Kei Igawa (4-1, 3.86) takes on Louisville’s Justin Lehr (5-2, 4.64). Also present is Roy White who is signing copies of his book prior to the start of the game. It is always good to see Roy who was a bright spot through some very tough years for Yankee fans. Fireworks after the game, and with Igawa on the mound, fireworks always possible during the game. Tonight’s lineup: Reegie Corona, 2B Austin Jackson, CF Todd Linden, LF Shelley Duncan, DH Juan Miranda, 1B John Rodriguez, RF Justin Leone, SS Eric Duncan, 3B Chris Stewart, C

SWB, no score through 4

Posted on 29 May 2009 by Zod Igawa has gone 4.0 gave up 2 hits, 2 walks , and struck out 2. The most interesting thing so far is that I got to meet Roy White and although he ran out of books to sign, he was nice enough to sign my program.

Dave Miley gives us some excitement!

Posted on 29 May 2009 by Zod By getting thrown out of the game! The plate umpire has been all over the place with the strike zone, so with 2 questionable calls on Ajax, Miley start jawing from the dugout. He got thrown out but came running out and gave us a show and the kids in our section got to hear some colorful metaphores! Still scoreless through 6 1/2.

Mirandabino!

Posted on 29 May 2009 by Zod Juan Miranda just put a charge into one with Shelley Duncan and Todd Linden aboard, SWB 3, Bats 0. I guess Dave Miley woke everyone up.

SWB 4, Louisville 0

Posted on 29 May 2009 by Zod Chris Stewrart added an RBI single in the 7th. Ajax is 0-4 with a strikeout.

Melancon tonight

Posted on 29 May 2009 by Zod Mark Melancon is in for Igawa in the 8th. He started off by giving > up a single and a walk, but ended up striking out 2 and got out of  the inning with only 1 run, that on an error by 3rd baseman Eric Duncan.   SWB 4, Bats 1 through 7 1/2.

Melancon gets the save

Posted on 29 May 2009 by Zod SWB wins, 4-1. Mark touched 94 on the radar tonight, but his off-speed stuff was his best. RecapBox
