John Jaso's RBI double broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the 12th and the Durham Bulls held on to complete a sweep of the Governor's Cup playoffs. The final was Durham 3, SWB 2. Eric Wordekemper took the loss for SWB. Well, that's the long and the short of it. It has been a long night and a great season. Too bad it had to end this way. If it's any consolation to SWB fans, the Governor's Cup is still in Scranton Police custody after being smashed into pieces by a disgruntled fan. So, technically, there is no Governor's Cup to be had. Thanks, Scott, for the opportunity to offer my two cents on your site. See you next year!

A correction to Nova's line...Kroenke allowed both inherited runners to score so Nova is charged with both. A double steal and singe by Desmond Jennings tied the game in the top of the 8th.

Ivan Nova left the game to a standing ovation and it was well deserved. He pitched his heart out tonight and left after a walk and bloop single and no one out. His line: 7.0 2 0 0 2 5.
