Another great day for baseball

It’s partly cloudy today, but they tell us that the rain will hold off until tonight, so we should get the game in. Today’s starter is Jason Johnson and he has his own personal interest story. Earlier this year he was diagnosed with choroidial malanoma in his right eye which is a very rare form of the disease. So his comeback story has an added emotional touch to all of us here in Scranton. Good luck today Jason! A peek at the lineup on the way in has Juan Miranda at 1st today. Also absent from the lineup is Austin Jackson , as well as John Rodriguez, who was HBP yesterday. Doug Bernier leads off with a 2B, Eric Duncan singles, Shelly Dincan walks with one out & Juan Miranda hits a 2 run single. Good hustle by Eric sliding home. A sac fly got Shelly home and SWB leads 3-0.
