Well, here we are at the end of the third exciting season with the SWB Yankees. And for the third straight season, the team has made it to the playoffs. This season has had it's high and low points, but despite the problems with drainage and scheduling, minor league baseball here in Scranton remains one of the best entertainment bargains around. With plans being made to replace the field and make enhancements to the park for fan enjoyment, the 2010 season should be even better. I'm counting the days already! I want to thank Scott for giving me the opportunity to post my rantings on the blog. It's been great fun. I hope everyone enjoyed the season as much as I enjoyed providing the updates. I will continue to post on the blog throughout the playoffs. As for today's game, I'm not sure what the Shelley-less Yankees will look like, but his call-up leaves a huge hole in our lineup. I hear help is on the way, but it will be hard to replace that bat. Romulo Sanchez (6-5, 4.09) is on the mound today. Back later!
