SWB Tonight, Shock and Awe!

Posted on 06 July 2009 by Zod They are actually playing baseball at PNC Waterpark. Tonight Ivan Nova vs Michael Bowden. I got here late because of the early start (5:35). Both teams got a run on sac flies, so it’s 1-1 in the top of the 2nd. Kevin Russo extended his hitting streak to 28 games with his single in the first. He scored Scranton’s run. He has hit in 34 of the 35 games in which he has played. Uniforms have changed. The Yankees are wearing red jerseys with pinstripe pants. Their names are on the back of their jerseys. The Red Sox are in navy blue. It’s like bizarro baseball!

SWB 2, Pawtucket 2 in the 3rd

Posted on 06 July 2009 by Zod The Sox scored on another sac fly in the 3rd and Scranton answered with an RBI single by Juan Miranda in the bottom of the frame and we are tied.

We’re in xtra innings

Posted on 06 July 2009 by Zod Game one is in the top of the 9th and still tied. Edwar gave us 2.2 scoreless innings. Mark Melancon is in in the 9th.

SWB wins game 1 in 11, 3-2

Posted on 06 July 2009 by Zod Juan Miranda hit a walk off single scoring Austin Jackson to end a marathon first game of a double header. Mark Melancon got the win (4-0) for Scranton pitching 3.0 innings of scoreless relief. The game was scheduled for 7 innings bit instead went 11 and took 4 hours and 11 minutes to complete. They had the fireworks display between games because of the first game’s length. The final score, SWB 3, Pawtucket 2.
