Unfinished business and a new game

Posted on 18 July 2009 by Zod Tonight began with the finish of last night’s game which was suspended due to rain. Very unusual. Anyway, Dave Miley was ejected from the game for arguing a call at 2nd (see pic below courtesy of the Scranton Times-Tribune). He was very angry, as you can see. Anyway, SWB won the continuation game 3-1 and we are awaiting the start of the regularly scheduled game. It will be Jason Johnson on the mound for SWB. I hope he leaves quietly!

Braves 4, SWB 0

Posted on 18 July 2009 by Zod A 3 run shot by Reid Gorecki capped a 4 run second inning giving the Braves a quick 4 run lead, all coming with 2 outs. Dave Miley did not bring out the lineups. He sent Wynegar instead. He is still steamed from last night.

Braves 6, SWB 0.

Posted on 18 July 2009 by Zod The Braves added 2 more runs on the third. Jason Johnson has nothing tonight and everything is being hit hard.

Braves 10, SWB 1

Posted on 18 July 2009 by Zod The Braves are pouring it on as Jason Johnson is just awful tonight. Miley has very few options due to last night’s suspended game so with 2 outs in the 5th he has gone to Zach Kroenke. The only bright spot for the Yankees was a booming home run by Shelley Duncan in the bottom of the 4th. Other than that it has been all Braves.

The other Duncan

Posted on 18 July 2009 by Zod Hit his third home run of the season. We are chipping away in the 5th. Braves 10, SWB 2.
