Game 2 and Reggie Jackson is in the house

Posted on 29 June 2009 by Zod An RBI double by Juan Miranda and a sac fly by P.J. Pilitteri and SWB leads 2-0. Romulo Sanchez is on the mound for SWB. Reggie Jackson is in the Yankee dugout, I’m sure to inspire Austin Jackson.

Ajax goes yard!

Posted on 29 June 2009 by Zod Well, Reggie’s influence really paid off as Austin Jackson hit his 3rd HR of the season and his 2nd of the week! He is showing more power lately. This one was a 371 foot shot over left center.

SWB sweeps in nail-biter!

Posted on 29 June 2009 by Zod Sanchez was replaced by Paul Bush with one out in the fourth and got the win but not before some dramatics from Edwar Ramirez. Edwar came on to close in the 7th but got into a bases loaded jam. After a popup by Jason Pridie, Kevin Plouffe singled (Edwar got his glove on it but Russo could not make the play). With one run in and the bases still loaded Edwar got Steven Tolleson and Justin Huber to strike out to end the game. The final here at PNC Field, SWB 3, Rochester 1. Game note: Kevin Russo had hits in both games of the double header to extend his hitting streak to 25.
