Pavano a Disaster Off and On the Mound

I hadn't checked out all the afternoon's results yet when Ian sent me a text:

check out pavano's line today.

I instantly became giddy and rushed to a scoreboard.  Sure enough, there it was:

Call me cruel for taking some glee in another man's failure, but after realizing that Pavano's string of unfortunate "injuries" had subsided once he completed his $40 million stay in New York, I somehow managed to respect the man even less.  I have no disdain for the Cleveland Indians other than my utter bewilderment at giving a chump like Pavano the number three starters position on their staff.  Were they not paying attention? People like to pick the Indians in the Central this season and Pavano would need to be a big part of that success. Good luck with that.

It's negotiating time. Will Derek Jeter insist on being the superstar or has Father Time talked some sense to the Captain?
